I bought this knitting machine--it is a 48 needle one which will make child through adult sizes.
I had little problem starting out and making random stripes as the urge struck! ( Very grateful for YouTube!)
In no time I had it off the machine and ready for the ends to be gathered and tucked one inside the other....
...to make a double thickness hat.
Since they are reversible--you get two hats in one!
I tried one in a gradient yarn and made it a bit longer.
It gave enough length to make a brim to turn up! I finally see a way to use up a very good amount of yarn!!!!
Very intriguing…can’t wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine had one of those at some point. She made a lot of charity hats.
ReplyDeleteNice! The hats will be warm and look great, too.
ReplyDeleteArne and Carlos were just showing off a machine like that from Prym. They were going to do a tutorial over on the Prym channel for it. I've never been fond of the look of machine knitted hats but those look lovely. I guess those gadgets have come a long way. I do love a lined hat but they are such a pain to knit by hand.
ReplyDeletehey thats pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteWell, I fell down a hole! You have been busy and productive, love all the fiber and wood projects!
ReplyDeleteNeat!
ReplyDeleteNow those are great looking hats. I may have to look into that machine for my charity hats.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
Oh that is a fun gadget! I saw one in action a while ago and put it on my wish list...for someday :) You'll be churning them out!! xx
