There are several very old maples in my parents' yard--
isn't it cool to lean on the huge trunk with me?!
Dad still likes to do small tasks- Macular Degeneration has made so many things impossible but he still finds contentment in the little things. My heart swells with love.
I am so enjoying the blanket making;
I am making a dent in the pile I picked out for this scrap-buster.
In the evening, I knit a few rows on the sock
I almost finished on the flight here. I will finish this one but not start the second sock until I am on my way home!
Big hugs for G and G from me! The blanket is a very pretty pattern.-Marsel
ReplyDeleteYour blanket is coming along very nicely. So glad you are enjoying your visit.
ReplyDeleteAhhh a cool tree - perfect! Love seeing your parents working together - that kind of action speaks SO much! your sock is very pretty too
ReplyDeleteCandid photos are the best! They capture memories more than posed ones. I cherish the photos I snapped of my family doing everyday tasks. The blanket is a beautiful and looks like a cuddler.
ReplyDeleteI used to love seeing my parents work together before holidays or get togethers. After mom was gone, Dad would come over and help me.
ReplyDeleteThat blanket is amazing. I can't beleive how much progress you've made.
It's wonderful to find contentment in the simple and sweet things that life brings us. I'm sorry about your dad's macular degeneration. My Gram had it, and it was hard on her. Your knitting projects are amazing! Many blessings to you :)
ReplyDeleteI love their Hydrangea!!!! I have 2 plants in the front bed and nary a bloom, they started as sticks with no blooms. LOL. That's what you get when you send your husband out for plants. Love the blankets you've started, makes me want to cast on a knit entrelac hat!
ReplyDeleteParents' houses always have wonderful trees. Without fail.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great blanket and you're making fast progress. I absolutely love that photo of your parents working together. How long have they been married? I think you told us, but I've forgotten. We've always had HUGE maple trees in our homes here in Omaha. I remember where we lived before we moved to Spokane, it was typical to rake about 150 garbage bags full of leaves every year and still not get all of them. Love the socks.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Betsy
