GrandParenting!

I know you think you saw this already but I ripped out the first one and took my Mom's advice to use a hook one size smaller for a better fabric--she was oh, so right!  It isn't so sloppy now;  I'm much happier and it was fun to do it all again!  I worked on this on the drive to the boys-
Bill and I were able to go and pick the boys up from school-what a joy to see their faces light up when they spotted us!  We had some time to unleash energy....but also snuggle time while we watched Godzilla vs KingKong!  It was great to hear their running commentary throughout the movie!
I kept smelling the most delicious perfumed aroma while they were jumping and soon enough I found this 'wall' of Confederate Jasmine--oh, how I wish I could share a sniff with you!
They also have the tallest ferns-almost as tall as I am!  A beautiful contrast in color and texture!
And we were graced with the most colorful sunset all the way home!

  2. Such a wonderful time with the boys. Lucky them and you! Sometimes just going up or down a hook size will make a huge difference like it did for you. Jasmine. I can't even imagine the smell. You live in a paradise. It was 28 here last night!

  3. What a lovely day! We need some of that southern warmth sent our way. It got cold again.....brrr. In the 30's last night and today feels like February again-so cold and windy. You would know I packed up all my woollies and my coats last week.

  4. I'm a loose stitcher. An H hook is usually my favorite to work with and I always like a thicker yarn so I don't have too much issue with pain in my wrist or thumbs. We are able to grow Jasmine here and it really smells lovely. Nice that you were able to spend time with your grandsons. Take care.

  5. I had a small potted jasmine at one time and it smelled AMAZING!
I didn't know how to take care of it though so it didn't last. I've been on the look out for another and pledge to do much better!
