It's the time of year when the citrus blossoms perfume our yard! We aren't the only ones who enjoy this time of year---
see the honeybee at the center?
There was a dozen when I approached for a photo!
I did a little piecing for the four-patches.
Today I hope to piece the rows.
Nyki kept me company during my late afternoon rest.
The sunshine revealed all of the shades of my 'black' cat!
Pretty kitty!! Your yard must smell amazing!!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm, I can imagine the heady sweetness of the blossoms! Such a nice picture of Nyki — not often we see that side of her in a picture! :)
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother used to go to Florida once a year about this time to visit relatives and she would always bring us back some of those kinds of flowers and some Spanish moss which did not smell as nice.
ReplyDeleteLove the citrus flowers. If I ever get my dream conservatory, I'm going to grow some citrus trees!
ReplyDeleteNyki is so pretty - so many shades. Burton doesn't really have the "red" black fur, he's black with dark grey undertones, it's neat!
I can only imagine the smell of those blossoms. Heavenly! Your quilt piecing is so pretty. It looks like such a happy quilt with those bright colors. Nyki is beautiful. Really a redhead! There is nothing like a pet to snuggle with for a nap.
ReplyDeleteI hope your Friday is wonderful.
Blessings,
Betsy
Ahh, my winter-weary soul is dreaming of fragrant flowers.
