Two by Two

I took an afternoon to cut out all the background pieces for this quilt and the binding .
I then cut out a few of the fat quarters for the 'star in the star' blocks.
And after a little of piecing, I finally have something going on the design wall again!
I was sad to see an blank space there each time I passed through the studio!
And in odd moments, I completed the two bobbins of Hampshire wool;
let the plying begin!

  1. Love the fabric colors you're using in the star blocks. My machine is buried somewhere in my sewing room. I've boxed it for the move. By the time I'm unpacked, I should be itching to do some quilting.

  2. I am not good about precutting. I just wait until I am ready for the next step. I need to change my ways!

  3. I feel that way about my loom and my wheels. I hate to see them empty. I love that new pattern. I do love stars I just wish I was better had lining them up.

  7. Those are fun blocks — I like the angles and the curves together. Pretty color on the yarn!
