Not Sitting Around

We are making a big change in the family room-out with the old dark brown couch and love seat
and in with the nice light colored furniture!
My brother and sister-in-law passed this down to us
since they have some new furniture.
We will purchase a new rug now to match;
I want a light turquoise tweed-ish one but will have to settle for what I can find, I know that!  Exciting to have an upgrade!
So there wasn't much time for this but I did work through a few color changes of the roving!
And after I put the boys to sleep tonight, I worked on try #2.
I think I am trying a new attempt tomorrow...I have an idea!
This is an hour's work.
A small investment really when compared to knitting by hand.

  1. I still remember my mother knitting by machine - annoying sound, but the sweaters grew so quickly! I should really dig out and clean my machine... but I usually knit in my rocking chair - which wouldn't work with that machine in front of me:)
I hope you find a good match with the carpet - the room will look totally different once you change it!

  2. Aren't changes around the house wonderful? I am thinking of a bedroom re-do now that the kitchen is on the back burner for the time being.

  3. The new sofas look so comfy and squishy .... looks like a great place for a cuddle up with the boys and some books.

  4. That will lighten up your living quite a bit! Can't wait to see what you come up with on the knitting machine.

  5. They look very floridian, the sofas. I like them!

  6. The new sofa & love seat look comfy. I wish I had ordered a custom slipcover for my sofa when I purchased it 25 years ago. It's a good sofa, but I'm weary of the neutral colors.

  7. New furniture is so exciting. I love those blues, very relaxing.
Our couch is dying, but we are holding out. They are so expensive! Maybe someone will give us a hand-me-down!

SOME MORE BABY HATS

I added to the baby hat pile and even changed up the pattern with the finer yarn.  The one on the far left is really a pink;  I worked on it...
