Getting Drafted

I woke up at dawn-it was nice to see sunshine
instead of a massive cloud covering!
I played around with some pattern drafting for two different kinds of summer tops for me-something comfy but a change from the tshirts I always wear.  I began sewing on one but had to quit to head to the neurologist.
After a good appointment and encouraging words from him, Bill and I went to Corky Bells to eat and celebrate;  he agrees with the rheumatologist and the new medicine I'm on-hoping it will cut the inflammation that is running rampant in my body!
After eating, we took a walk and enjoyed spotting their young 'gator in the river.  He was begging for food but it is illegal to feed them for obvious reasons!  This one is about 5' long.
The docks all along the river had egrets sitting atop the posts--it was fun to spot them!
Once home, Lena greeted me and we both enjoyed a good rest after our busy day!

Today, I hope to finish the top and start on te other one--we will see how my drafting numbers work out! lol

  3. What a great day! I can see the sun peeking out through my curtains right now. It looks like Elsa came and went while we were sleeping without much ado. Thank goodness. I could use a break. Today we do battle with Lowes once again. Ugh.

  4. I'm so glad you got good news at the doctor. On my schedule today is several calls to doctors on Mom's behalf.
Your lunch and company afterwards, (gator), seem like an adventure to me. I don't think I would want to see a gator anywhere near me!
You draft your own patterns?! Well of course you do! You are amazing my friend!
And finally, a cat in the lap. Is there anything better? I sure miss mine.
    Take care.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

Lena looks so cozy, but now you are stuck in that chair until SHE decides to get up. LOL

WOOD WORKS

I cleaned the wood shop area;  the tools and the floor, etc so that I could begin work on that burl we acquired a few weeks ago!  It felt so...
