SOCKS ON SUNDAY

I started all gung-ho on this sock sampler of stitches
and then I ran out of steam.
I realized I hadn't written down any clues
to what I did for rows, etc.
I ripped it all out and am knitting a plain foot
and will put the faux cable (the last stitches)
on the leg for rib.   Ah, bliss!
Vanilla might not be my favorite flavor for ice cream, chocolate or candles but it sure can't be beat for a sock!

  1. I always wish for that plain knitting when I am doing color work, but then grow quickly bored with it! LOL.

  2. I so agree. I am doing a fancy one right now but I also have my vanillas on the go in case I just need some good mindless rows.

  3. I worked on my plain vanilla socks in Sunday School this morning. I have about an inch left before finishing the toe. It was the Hermione stitch which is pretty simple to do and yet looks like you worked hard! Ha! We finished putting the teeny-tiny garden in this afternoon. Dennis put the fence up yesterday with (very little), help from me. I should have gotten it done weeks ago, but we had so much rock to take out. We've been working on that in our spare time since we got home from London. I hope it still has enough time to grow.
Hope your Sunday afternoon is going great.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
