Off to a New Week!

This is my view most mornings driving into the sunrise to deliver Will to school.
The second old foot stool has been upholstered to match the new furniture.
Next project in the family room is the window shade replacement!
(The hardware is all re-usable so it is not an expensive job!)
I don't have the fabric in the stash so it will mean a trip to the
fabric store....such a hardship!

  1. Ahhhh...the fabric store. It's been ages. Now that Daddio is gone I don't do that particular field trip anymore. It would have saved me a world of hurt with that purple baby quilt.

  2. I try to stay away from the fabric store - I tend to collect fabrics as I do yarns and threads, etc., etc. Though...I do need/want to make some new kitchen curtains.....

  3. Lovely sunrise - I don't see them very often as I'm definitely not a morning person.

  5. It's a beautiful view that you start your day with most mornings! We are not reupholstering anything since the teenage boys are too rough with our basic little couch. The husband did take up needle and thread to try and stitch up some ripped seams their bony butts put into the cushions. I think he saw how thin / cheap the cushions really are and said maybe we'd get a new couch in a few years (read that as when our son leaves for University) LOL

  7. I should make some new kitchen curtains but I'll probably just purchase them - no motivation to shop for fabric.

  8. Hmm, I hadn’t thought about your shades — do you have a color scheme/print in mind yet?
