My Timing is Off!

Well, I know a lot more about the insides of my heavy duty quilting machine!
The good news was that while it is interesting...we still needed to find the problem.
I hit a pin that was mistakenly in the quilting path and the machine ground to a halt!
This machine is 25 yrs old...it didn't like the interruption.
Not for the first time, I am very grateful for my husband who figures out all things mechanical!
Now that he has figured out the problem, he even knew how to fix it!

  2. I find that quite often, too! it would cost us a fortune to have repairs done elsewhere... most of the time it's spare parts that are the biggest problem!
good luck with the repair - hope it runs well again after!

  3. My oldest brother was like that - he could fix anything, even if he had to create a new part.

  4. Mom did something similar with hers not long after she got it! unfortunately for her, she had to send the head to someone to be fixed. Fortunately, they covered it under the warranty!

  5. Yikes! I wouldn't have a clue what to do. Thank heavens for husbands that are fix-it people, right? Glad it's up and running again.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
