Autumn Leaf

I searched hard to find a colored leaf....
this one matches my Fall socks, though.
My Dad says it is too early because they haven't had a frost yet.
He's probably right about these things.
But it is the last day of September!

  1. The trees are just starting to show a bit of color here but it's still hot and miserable. It's so dry I'm starting to worry about fires. Our woodpiles are a tinderbox.

  2. Its a beauty and more colorful than we will see here in Florida. Hope you are having a good time with your family even though your visit is not for fun.

  3. Our leaves are just starting to show colour. The height of colour really hits in the next week or two.

  4. So lovely - maples are hard to find in this area, but I have some old leaves pressed in a dictionary. Aspen are turning in the mountains and a few in the valley, too.

  5. We could use a frost but I don't want one! The mosquitoes are awful and threat of EEE is kind of an issue. The frost ought to kill them. The flies were not at the barn today despite the humidity and fog and heat. So at least the flies have calmed down there. The poor horses, they are tortured even with fly masks in summer. BUT i love your yarn

  6. Very pretty! Our trees are turning but then, we came home this morning to a dusting of snow in our yard and Mt. Spokane covered in the white stuff. 26F predicted for tonight.

WOOD WORKS

I cleaned the wood shop area;  the tools and the floor, etc so that I could begin work on that burl we acquired a few weeks ago!  It felt so...
