This is just one copse of bamboo on our property.
I used my new Japanese saw and cut down some 15' poles and trimmed off the small branches and leaves so I can make an arch over my Muscadine grapevines.
It's a beginning!

The new yarn is pleasant to work with--enjoy as soft as KnitPicks Stroll but not as rough as LionBrand's sock yarn. I do love the colo...
We have a lot of bamboo on our property (that we planted), and Fletch uses it for many things. It is one STURDY plant!!
ReplyDeleteThe Mister had some rental property that had bamboo that was the bane of his existence. I used to get some to use as teepee poles for my classroom. It may be a pain in the garden because of its spreading but it can be handy.
ReplyDeleteA few years back, Mom and I traveled to Virginia. I'd never been further south than Buffalo, and I was amazed that the hotel we were staying at had a bamboo grove! They were so tall! I had always thought of bamboo as being an Asian only plant - I never expected to find it in Virginia!
