To Knit and Knit Again

 Ahhh, nothing like a good round dishcloth to clear your head!
(15 stitches on #6 needles)
 The first attempt at the top down sweater wasn't a win;
see how bunchy it is along the neck band and the body of the sweater?
Totally unacceptable.
Following a pattern blindly can make you think this is how it should look.
But
I did learn what I wanted to change
and made notes galore on the pattern with new numbers to tackle this again!
 And this worked out much better!
No bunching where you pick up the stitches for the band!
It is better ratio of picking up stitches is all.
Lengthening the neck band didn't change the rest of the pattern so I should be good
to continue to the body of the sweater -again!
Look at the new gauge ruler-
it is from Akerworks sold by Mason Dixie Knits.
Very easy to get the numbers needed to have your knits fit!
Give a big welcome to December!

  5. I'm glad you figured the sweater out. It looks great now and I love that handy-dandy gauge ruler. I usually use 21 stitches on my round dishcloths, I'm thinking I should try 16!
