I've been trying my hand at a longer term project with crochet.
It all when I was looking for something else and saw this in an old doily magazine.
Granddaughter #3 just decorated her room with ocean blues and dolphins!
Perfect! I can do this!
But the directions are only this and the number of chains for the beginning row in the middle of the work(do one side, then do the other!)
I remember how to read the directions but for the fancy open part in the middle so I am experimenting to get the right and repeatable numbers!
Since I am down for the count still with whatever is going on, I might as well dream!
What a fun project!!
ReplyDeleteWhoa......what a challenge! I'm cheering you on and hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed you are tackling this project, it will be amazing in that color. Glad you had a great visit with your grandkids and love all that you have been making. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI love filet crochet and have done a lot of it. You are so good at everything you put your hand to, I'm sure this will be no different.
ReplyDeleteTake care and I sure hope this thing, whatever it is, goes away soon.
Blessings,
Betsy
That doesn't even look like that is possible! I'm going to google filet crochet. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the experiment! It looks pretty neat!
ReplyDeleteYou’ll have it figured out in no time, and it will be beautiful. Sorry to hear you’re still not feeling well. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThat will be so cool (and so beyond what I could do!!). Sorry you are still not feeling well. Hope you are back on your feet pronto!
ReplyDeleteHello, I have come to your blog from Meredith's Mereknits. I love your dolphin idea. Remember that filet crochet is just basic stitches and counting carefully. Just make a start and you will work it out as you go. In which publication did you find that pattern? I'd love to track it down and have a go myself one day. Beautiful. It's an elegant filet design. Your granddaughter will love it.
