Guests

Look closely under our East Palatka Holly tree
(with its ripening berries)
and see the pair of Sand Hill Cranes
who regularly come to sift through the seeds spilled
from our bird feeders
by the much smaller song birds!

This is going to be a very 'going' week
in which we will not have a 'home-all-day' day
until Friday this week!
I hope I will at least be able to knit while in the car so much!

  3. Wow! Great visitors. Ours are more likely to be mountain lions or deer. :-) . Enjoy your knitting time in the car. I get so much done that way too.

  4. We don't have cranes here (that I know of) but we have Herons, which are similar. It's always a thrill to see them.

  10. I LOVE Sandhill cranes! The first one we ever saw was in Wisconsin when we pulled off the road; but we've seen lots of them in Florida and heard a flock fly over our daughter's house in the Chicago area. I think they may winter here in eastern Washington. Hope you do get in some car knitting time and that you are headed somewhere fun! Thanks for visiting my blog!
