The snowmen received their carrots
and the mystery item on the lathe yesterday is a Gnome!
I had fun making the beads for his nose and hat tip,
well , every part, in fact!
I found the wood burning tools
but not my assortment of tips
so I am going to have to wait for that to happen.
As soon as it warmed up a bit,
I went out and refilled the birdfeeders
and then 'planted' the latest stepping stone.
I'm also changing out my hanging plants
so I can put my blooming Christmas cactuses on display!
I also loaded up the Hunter Star
but now it will sit until I am inspired!
I don't have a lot of time to languish over this decision!
Hmmm...how about swirls, like a frosty winter wind blowing over the stars?! The circular lines would also play nicely over the geometric piecing. (Not that you asked for an opinion — ha!) The gnome and snowmen are really fun! David is on a huge woodworking kick now and just bought wood for a new project. He’d probably have a blast playing on the lathe! Lovely outdoor photos, too.
ReplyDeleteThe gnome (I had guessed what it would be!!) looks so cute with your snowmen. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteLove the new blog header! I never would have guessed a gnome - he’s adorable.
ReplyDelete(Mom, this is a test to try to figure out the problem with my commenting -- does this show up differently than it usually does?!)
ReplyDeleteI think that the gnome is so cute. I was guessing a Christmas tree so I was completely wrong! Ha! The little carrot noses are so cute too. I would be afraid to touch the quilt. I have only hand quilted the ones I made. I am amazed at how many things you excell at. I seem to be mediocre at everything and master of none.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
