Look who we saw early in the morning!!!
They came right up to the back patio door
asking for cracked corn!
All three together is a very good thing;
the 'chick' is an adolescent now-
adult plumage except for the red head-that's the last bit of coloring
to be added!
Speaking of color, look at my mailbox!
The mail lady came as I was stitching the last of the stitches
and I apologized for covering up the numbers nailed to the post
and she said not to worry--that they all knew which one it was now! lol
I will be painting the old black box in the 60's style today!
Whoa.....those birds!! They are so big! My turkey vulture friend is still showing up every night after dinner. I've been saving him/her all the cat food the cat's leave in their bowls and then I throw it out in the grass away from the house for the crazy thing. It comes right up to the door and looks in now. It drives the dog crazy but it's been quite entertaining.
ReplyDeleteYour mailbox is a masterpiece. I can't wait to see what you do with some paint.
So, 60's psychedelic for the mailbox? That could be fun. Love those birds. They are HUGE and it would probably freak me out to have them come to the door!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those cranes are amazing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yarn bombing too!
What fun to have three crane visitors and a stylish mailbox, too. Enjoy adding a creative touch to the box itself.
ReplyDeleteI love that the mail carrier came while you were decorating. It's perfect! So bright and colorful. I can't wait to see the mailbox tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe cranes are fabulous. How fun to have them come meet you at the door.
Blessings,
Betsy
Love the mailbox! How amazing to see the birds!
ReplyDeleteYour mailbox post is awesome! Looking forward to seeing the painted mailbox. What interesting wildlife comes to your door. WOW!
ReplyDeleteYour house will now be known at the color house! Our home 2 houses ago was the Billiards house because of the green carpet we had put in. Sorry about the sweater, hate when that happens. But better than cutting fabric wrong!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful yarnbombed mailbox! I'm sure that it will make many smile. Those cranes would make my day if they came to my house.
ReplyDeleteSandhill Cranes! I love them. We've heard them flying high over our daughter's house outside of Chicago! There's a crane festival here in WA. at the end of March before they head back "home." We saw a threesome walk down the sidewalk near my cousin's house in FLA once, but the first one we ever saw was off a side road in WI. I have always wondered where their real home is!
