We think this COVID-19 is unique to us--a first for our nation.

My grandmother's sister Elizabeth died at the age of 2 from that flu. My mother was named for her. My great grandmother never recovered from that loss. She was in a wheelchair for the rest of her life-which oddly was longer than either her daughter or my mother.

I wish more people would do some reading on the Spanish Flu - particularly how hard it hit the U.S. There are so many similarities.
