Blues in Flight

Off the frame and even bound!
Apple Core has been completed!
The quilting is a simple flower and butterfly done by pantograph.
 My new labels!
The quilt is now marked as from my studio!
I used some hand dyed fabric for the binding--the colors are much more complex in person.
And the mailbox had one little addituon or more accurately a resubmission!!!
I wasn't happy with the butterfly I painted initially.  It was all wrong.
I am much happier with this one which looks to be painted from a grown-up and not a child! lol

  1. The quilt turned out very nice. Those labels are the perfect finishing touch! That is a perfect butterfly. I bet your mail person gets a big kick out of your box. I think mine is cursing me now from all the things I've been ordering.

  2. Applecore is so pretty! Well done.

  3. Lovely blues! Quilt and Butterfly both!

  4. Now, I know you’ve recovered since you’re back to multiple projects and finishes. I’m happy for you.

  5. The apple core quilt is just beautiful! Love your new labels.

  6. Your quilt is lovely. The colors are all perfect together. I can just imagine the smiles as people drive by your home and see the mailbox. It sure brings a grin to my face.

  7. Nice work! Love all those blues. Where'd you get the cool labels?

  8. I love the apple core finish. And I love the your labels. SO professional!

  9. Wow, you are kicking it on the piecing! I need to get my butt in gear and get the last 2 Wedding Toppers for the month pieced and quilted!! Got any piecing mojo to spare?

  10. This quilt looks like a pretty little pond to me! Lovely.
