Taking Shape!

See, I really did finish the Stay-at-home-Round-Robin QAL!  I'm ready for the next prompt on Monday.

And I finished the table runner, too.  30" x  42"
It picks up the color of the dining room and the kitchen/family room just through the doorway!
(see-no baseboards!  but that is going to be happening very soon!)
And I did some more work on the square bowl--it is hollowed out and has finish drying on it here.
I love the shape of this--worm holes and all!  It is 6" x 6".  I will be finishing the bottom today.

The closing was delayed-not because anyone had cold feet (gratefully!) but because the bank made a mistake on the check and couldn't issue a new one in time for the closing.  Now it is postponed until sometime next week.  What a let down.  That's pretty common, I know but all the same, it is an emotional roller coaster!

  1. Beautiful finishes on the quilt and the bowl too. I really like the shape of the bowl and the worm holes add interest too.
I know what you mean about let downs. That happened to our house closing too, only by a couple of hours but it was a pain. Dennis had to reschedule a couple of meeting at work, (that he had already rescheduled once because of closing.) All because they forgot to have the office we were using cleaned properly because of Covid. Hopefully all will be well next week and it will go off without a hitch. Things seem to be progressing on the house in Omaha too.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  2. I know how you feel. Once you get a contract on a sale, you want to get finished up and get on with things.

We had a buyer with cold feet on the Orlando house. He was going to back out the day before closing until his realtor told him he would loose all his good-faith money. The reason he was going to back out....he didn't know how to work the spa. Sheesh ---- we would give him lessons. All he had to do was ASK!

  3. I love that table runner! Your SHRR quilt square plus border is awesome. I am doing a really simple pattern because it's been ages since I pieced anything. Wish we were closer so you could tutor me in hst. Right now I'm working on the piano keys. Maybe I should say struggling with?
