I have some wooden toys my step-grandpa made back in the 1960s -- he made toys for all of us cousins (and there are lots of us, ha!). He made so many different toys and among them are tops. I'll have to show them on my blog sometime. I'm betting, just by looks compared to things I have that are antique/vintage, that your tops are several decades old. Sometimes things like that are worth money, but to me I'd never part with them for sentimental reasons. It's always wonderful when you can repurpose old items, too! Hugs to you!
Thanks for taking the time to let me know you stopped by to read my blog! If you can't get the blog to accept a comment-email me! If you don't have a blog yourself, use my email so I can then email you back-I love to respond to those who leave comments! Thanks!
Beautiful! What woods are they made of — the grains look so different (from each other)?

ReplyDeleteFun! I'l bet a little furniture oil would pep them right up.
ReplyDeletePlans can always change, even if you've already sewn something together! Ask me how I know? LOL. I love those TOPS!!!!
