Determination!

I did the quilting at the frame today!  All of it!  I positioned the runner horizontally on the frame and quilted the green areas first with a Kelly green thread and bobbin  Then I rolled it back and quilted the white area with whited thread and bobbin.  It worked out great!.
I'm really happy with the rather large runner at 28 x 56".  This runner is part of the monthly challenge at the Joyful Quilter!
I just did loop-de-loops in the white and continuous swooping lines for the green squares.  It has a nice contrast between the two areas.  I forgot to take a pic of the backing for you---tomorrow's post, I promise.
I spent the morning taking everything off the shelves, dusting happened (ugh!) and then I reorganized the items to highlight--it is the wooden items that has the limelight now!  I tossed a ton of old magazines....I won't think about it....but the results sure help ease the angst!  Tomorrow I will show you where I put the bottles I removed from here!  A good day, all in all.

  2. The shelves look fantastic! So nice to have the wooden things displayed. Can’t wait to see the back of the runner; you know I love quilting with a colored bobbin!

Your collection on wood pieces is very impressive now that you can see them all together. They are amazing!

  5. You are a busy bee. I really like how the runner turned out. I hadn't realized how big it is but I do like it that way.
Good job on the dusting and organizing. I dread the thought of unpacking and moving in. I guess it will be bits at a time. I'll take a carload in April with me Dennis will bring a U-haul trailer in May. Then a pod carrier will deliver the pod in September. Hopefully that will take care of it without one last trip.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  11. Very cool table runner. It would fit my daughter's coffee table if it turns out to be too large for you! Ha! Nice job on it AND the clean up. I hate dusting too so it seldom gets done around here either. However, like you, I love how good it makes me feel when I actually get around to it. Have a great week!
